hii thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about the game!! ♡ it means a lot that you’re so invested in the story and the characters!

when i was writing the general outline, i tried to think of all the logical options a player would pick if they really were isekai’d into this story. completely freezing the capital did cross my mind as a potential choice, but the MC was just a regular person that woke up in the body of an ancient witch 2 days ago.

though she might be comfortable creating small illusions or helping ash out, i thought she would be more hesitant to hurt people or escalate things, because she was still figuring out the situation without becoming too involved with the plot of the story.

i may add freezing the capital as an option one day, but it’ll require quite a bit of branching hahaha. it will be interesting to see how that turns out though!

and thanks for pointing out the grammar! sometimes after rereading lines over and over it gets a little hard to notice. i appreciate you taking the time to mention it ♡

💕💕💕Yessss I’m loving everything so far, and as I writer myself I can totally see the way your brain was working. Giving a character a lot of power and an intuitive way to use it is quite hard to write around by nature bc everyone’s “logic” for problem solving is just as different as our pure emotional tendencies, which is why I suggested giving a mechanical reason as to why she held back so we don’t have to jump through any mental hoops.

Ofc, I get not wanting to disturb the story, but being found as a witch kinda already takes that away so it felt like preserving something already out the window. But!! The story is already really good without it and I think it’s not something that’ll be noticeable later in the story. It’s just a starting point thing and the story is already really good 🥺💕

And this isn’t a critique or anything but am I suppose to kinda see why wearing a disguise lead to her capture and not wearing it didn’t? Cassian had already seen her face by that point so I thought he’d have more of a hostile reaction if it was obvious the witch was out as in broad daylight vs a girl who might be her, where then he would test her and stuff. For a second I thought I got the options flipped. But maybe it’s suppose to be a mystery for now.

I see that it’s divided into days as well, do we know yet how many there will be? ?

yepp i can see that!

the reason why cassian is a lot more playful when the MC is undisguised is because he only behaves that way to the witch.

when the MC disguised herself, cassian genuinely didn’t recognize her.

he thought she was an ordinary person, so he was a lot colder and threatened to kill everyone around them that witnessed her abilities. i added this scene to subtly show how differently he treated other people. afterwards, he threw the disguised MC into prison before finally realizing her identity when her hair came loose. that’s when he started flirting/being playful in the prison scene.

if the MC chooses to go out without a disguise, cassian will immediately recognize the witch and will switch to his playful personality from the start. he “tests” her despite already knowing her identity because he is curious if the witch is aware of who he is, and he believes she is fun to tease.

in general, whenever cassian knows he’s interacting with the witch, he isn’t actually hostile to her (though it may seem that way in his secret ending)!
