This is really really cool, I'm super impressed you managed to model as much as you did in the short span of a week. The story was really touching and just the right kind of short and simple that game jams are perfect for. The overall lighting and atmosphere was fantastic too, what a creative idea for a platformer! Only critique I would have is that the movement was a little hard to control (other comments have mentioned this though so don't worry about it) and it was difficult to position the objects to an angle to where you could jump on them, especially the log. I believe this is because the object's placement was based on your camera angle, so with the side of the log being so tall, it was hard to get it at an angle to be able to jump on it and simultaneously get to the next platform. If you were to go back and work on this more, I'd suggest adding a "rotate item" button with the scroll wheel or something, similar to the Gmod phys gun. Also experienced a few bugs with the islands disappearing/reappearing, but nothing too egregious. Overall, this is a really impressive entry for your first jam and as a solo dev. Great job!
