Wish you could press a key to spin the tail, my wrist hurts. Very cute art though, really appreciate the animations of the enemies

This is really really cool, I'm super impressed you managed to model as much as you did in the short span of a week. The story was really touching and just the right kind of short and simple that game jams are perfect for. The overall lighting and atmosphere was fantastic too, what a creative idea for a platformer! Only critique I would have is that the movement was a little hard to control (other comments have mentioned this though so don't worry about it) and it was difficult to position the objects to an angle to where you could jump on them, especially the log. I believe this is because the object's placement was based on your camera angle, so with the side of the log being so tall, it was hard to get it at an angle to be able to jump on it and simultaneously get to the next platform. If you were to go back and work on this more, I'd suggest adding a "rotate item" button with the scroll wheel or something, similar to the Gmod phys gun. Also experienced a few bugs with the islands disappearing/reappearing, but nothing too egregious. Overall, this is a really impressive entry for your first jam and as a solo dev. Great job!

Very creative and cool system, the mechanic of spinning the tornado with your mouse was very fun and cool. Something I'd suggest implementing is a way to rotate the camera

Great game! Really liked the simple style and mechanics. Only point of criticism I have is that the enemy felt way too fast and it was pretty much impossible to complete a level if you got unlucky and rolled it

Wow, this is really polished and great. Also very difficult, haha. Can't believe you guys made this in a week, amazing job!

You can put a price on family.

Could have been a bit more related to the theme, but pretty cool art. Shotgun is wayyyy too overpowered

Game could use a tutorial, interesting concept though

Spinning three times makes your game crash rip

Thanks for the feedback! Definitely agree with all of those critiques, sound was very much an afterthought and our mixing was really bad haha. There is a gun reload noise, but it's just generally too quiet compared to everything else to be noticed honestly. We'll keep that in mind for the next game we work on or if we come back to this one, all really solid advice. For the ultrawide monitor, do you have any suggestions as to how we could test and fix something like that? That's definitely a really big issue, we were working on average sized screens so never ran into that problem, but would like to prevent it in the future if possible. Overall though, really appreciate the thorough comment. Glad u enjoyed the game :)

That's really sweet, we really appreciate it! I (The individual dev writing this lol) am lucky to have a lot of artist friends I could call on to help out with assets, which gave me and the main crew a lot of room to focus on stuff like writing and gameplay. Glad you liked it!

Thanks for playing and leaving a comment! Sorry about the glitch haha, we did our best to iron everything out but inevitably a few things slipped through the cracks, that glitch happened very infrequently when we were testing and couldn't figure it out in time so it unfortunately stayed, it is still possible to beat the game if you restart. Glad you had a fun time overall tho :)

Was so close to moving on after about 5 minutes in the gold area, but I found the ending! The game is super addicting, reminds me of those coolmath games where you dig to the center of the earth. (My high score was 77030)

Loved the story and got very attached to the characters. Couldn't make it to the end but I hope the spinning son saved the spinning sun.

Having debuffs is an intersting twist! Love it :)

I couldn't figure out how to get to the settings so couldn't turn off the camera. This is a cool concept though!

The art of this is very sick! Reminds me of a game I'd play on animal jam or club penguin

Oppressive yet addicting gameplay. Loved the among us/ultrakill sound effect lol. Definitely got sucked in by this game :) good job!

Cute doggo, liked the leve design.

The meta is staying in the bottom right and spending 10 $ and hoping the dude doesnt catch you. Fun and awesome sauce

Loved how fast you can go by spamming Q and E, might be the meta.

thanks! glad you liked it!

Fun concept, very reminiscent of the old flash games.

Very awesome first game! The boss's face is awesome

Loved the character design!  The gameplay was fast-paced and chaotic!

I liked the mustache man.

Very funny game

The gameplay was alright, but the art was fantastic!

short and sweet. love it.

Great game, dealer romance update when?

Simplistic fun. Was enjoyable to see how my scores fared against my friends (I made it to 100 teehee).

The isometric camera makes this game pretty tough! Enjoyed the theming and found the gameplay kind of addicting

we did it!

Nice job, friends and I really enjoyed playing :)

OMG I love this! My friends and I all played it and got 655 as our high score! Was wondering what your best was (if you remember it). I like the music and sound effects, especially the one when you hit the blue string thingy.

Art was very cute, and I loved the cutscene at the end!
