I really enjoyed the game! It was a little difficult to understand at first, so I think even a simple menu and a short in-game tutorial would help a lot.

Once I understood how everything worked, I immediately knew the game would keep me playing until I upgraded everything to the maximum — and that’s exactly what happened. 😄

I would also appreciate some kind of distance meter, as well as a clear UI message when the main goal is completed and the player reaches space — assuming I actually completed it. 😄 I managed to get there, but I still kept playing for a while until every upgrade was maxed out.

I also really liked the small details, such as the changing biomes during the flight and the fossils visible in the cross-section of the ground.

Overall, I have to praise both the idea and the execution. The sound effects are great, the game is fun, and it has that special quality that makes you want to keep playing until the end.

I agree, a tutorial and end UI are clearly lacking. Funnily enough, we did have a distance meter at some point, but it broke when the planet became circular and we didn't have time to fix it. Thanks for playing! I'm sure you made it to space if you managed to max every upgrade, the only indication is the rocket fairing exploding once you get there (it also auto-respawns to the start, which is not intended).
