Here are my favourite games so far, unordered:

  • Very Serious Chair Test - Reminds me of good flash games.
  • Reels Lucky - Fun timing-based fishing game.
  • Spin the Skulls out of it - Very unique graphics and simple mechanics leading to a lot of depth and complexity in gameplay.
  • Spin-phibian - Missing some polish but has great potential to be a speedrunning game.
  • Learn to Spin - Unique graphics, very clean UI. Go fast and dodge things.
  • Speen to Leeve - Physics platformer, haven't seen something else like it yet.
  • Spin to Space - Our game. I truly believe it's fun and it received positive feedback so far, but it's also flying under the radar just a bit.

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

Thanks for your kind words and feedback! I had noticed a few of the glitches you mentioned but this is the first time we're hearing about trees flickering in space, that's quite a bug you found. I agree that some kind of power meter or score is missing during launch, and adding things like a planet or moon in space is a great idea. We'll be sure to check out your YouTube too! Your flying bison hat is very stylish.

Thanks for your detailed feedback! We are in severe need of an end screen, though it's nice knowing that people are making it to space.

Thanks for playing!!

We made an atmospheric space game which is pretty relaxing as long as you like rhythm-based gameplay. Let us know what you think!

Space game alert! Feel free to critique it. I apologize in advance that you cannot continue playing after getting to space, I accidentally left in a line which auto-respawns the player while doing last-second changes. If you do have ideas on where the game could go (i.e. what you would be interested in for a full release) we would be happy to hear them!

While you wait for games with 3D movement, you could try ours which is in between :P

Feel free to give any feedback/ideas/criticism and have fun! I'd be particularly interested to hear what features could be added, or changed, which would make you want to play even more.

It is a slow start right now, the game balance could use more work. Thanks for playing and for your feedback!

Nice game, I like the concept. I could see this being a cozy satisfying narrative game with a bit more polish and content. I could also see the narrative going in an indie horror direction, which would fit the artstyle. There's a lot of potential here!

This game is really fun, it deserves more ratings! I enjoyed swinging around the levels once I got the hang of the movement and the anchor types were very creative. I did find the instantaneous increase in speed (especially when grabbing while close to an anchor point) a bit unsatisfying, I wish the speed change was smoother so I could chain things in a more natural and flowy way.

Side note, I saw you left a comment on the "share someone else’s game" thread and mentioned both music and soundtracks. I thought you might like our game if you want to give it a go (no pressure though). It has in-house music, a sort of cozy and atmospheric feel and a mechanic similar to Reels Lucky (which I also enjoyed).

Cool game, I like the silhouette artstyle! I think the fail timer is a bit strict and I wish there was a warning that it was coming. For a first game while learning to code (and do game art), I'm very impressed.

I totally agree! The teleport back to the beginning was supposed to be removed in the final build, but I somehow managed to undo that change, and an end screen was planned but never implemented. Happy you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback!

An ending cutscene was next on our list of things to implement, I agree it would have been a big improvement. Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed!

I agree, a tutorial and end UI are clearly lacking. Funnily enough, we did have a distance meter at some point, but it broke when the planet became circular and we didn't have time to fix it. Thanks for playing! I'm sure you made it to space if you managed to max every upgrade, the only indication is the rocket fairing exploding once you get there (it also auto-respawns to the start, which is not intended).

Feedback is appreciated, have fun!

I'm not sure if this counts for you. It's 3D assets but with 2D movement. I personally worked quite hard on the shaders for it. If you do play it, have fun! We are open to criticism/feedback.

Noted on the progression, it's definitely one of the weaker parts of the game. I promise it picks up within the first ~5 minutes of playtime. If you do feel like giving it another chance, it's about 18 minutes max before you get to space. I recommend prioritizing zone shrink rate, hit power and green zone size at the beginning of the game. The minigame gets way easier as you play.

I'm not sure why it has trouble going into full screen on browser sometimes, but I understand why that would decrease enjoyment of the game as well. No pressure if you don't want to play again and thanks for trying it out!

I appreciate the valuable feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Great idea for the sound effects improvement.

Wow, thanks for the praise! I would be surprised if we even manage top 10 with so many entries but the reception has been positive so far. I'll be sure to note down your feedback for later.

Pro tip from the dev team: Hit power (how much each hit powers the rocket's spin) and zone shrink size are particularly powerful upgrades right now. This might change with future balancing post-jam.

Great feedback! This was actually planned, but we ran out of time. My favourite ideas we haven't implement include:

  • Progression missions with visual targets and rewards
  • Milestones/achievements for distance and height records, including post-space goals
  • A contract system, allowing the player to accept package delivery missions
  • Fuel and engine upgrades for the rocket (and maybe more customization options)

It's reassuring that I'm not the only one who thinks milestones are a good idea!

Thanks for playing! I admit we didn't reach full spinning potential in our game, instead going for novelty and a more simulation-arcade feel. Fun fact, the game is based on an idea from the company SpinLaunch who is trying to spin rockets into space in real life.

Have fun, feedback is welcome!

Very unique mechanics. It feels simple to learn but difficult to master and it's fun to play. I can imagine this game having a crazy high skill ceiling with more enemies and some movement-based goals.

Whoa, your game's artstyle looks so serious! Here's our game:

Cool idea! It was funny watching some buildings get rebuilt immediately after I destroyed them.
