Pretty cool for your first game! it's short but sweet

I replayed it twice as well to check other weapons and variations , pretty cool

adding sound effects would have made it a lot better as well

glad to see you had lots of fun making it as well, keep going!

Also if you want feedback for future games since it's ur first time making a game:

  • I would obviously tell you to add sound effects for your game and don't forget to pitch shift them ( make it so when sound plays each time it's slightly different by slightly increasing or decreasing the pitch ( from 0.95-1.05 ) for example.
  • I would obviosuly advice you to add more effects such as flashing for hit and stuff
  • you can tween the health bar ( not sure what's the name for unity but in godot it's at least tween)
  • screnshake would also be cool ( don't add much tho) and also a lil bit knockback from the gun
  • increasing the rate of firing and decreasing damage to stay balanced will make it amazing)

Good luck!

Thank you so much for the helful tips man! I would 100% incorporate these in the near future as I am hoping to bring this game much closer to what I originally envisioned. p.s I have never heard about the sound pitch thing and now that I think about it it sounds pretty genius!

np np, always glad to help smth new out,

the sound pitch thing is in all games but your brain won't notice it much unless u start thinking about it , if there's no chainging for the pitch it will be very annoying to hear , for my game for example i change the pitch of hitting the reflector or goal thingies
