You have a real nice base for a full game here, everything's very polished, it's satisfying to place down gears, and I think the idea could be expanded pretty far. However, I did think the levels were way too easy; there was practically no thinking involved in most of them, and when there was, it was mainly because of the darkness, so it feels a bit like artificial difficulty. If you want to expand this idea further, there's a lot of interesting mechanics that come to mind when I think of cogwheels: different gear ratios, chain drives, using them to activate mechanisms, etc. Well, I don't make puzzles, so I don't know how you'd go about implementing these ideas, I'm just sharing my inspiration. Anyways, good job!

Also, I was really missing restart and undo buttons. But maybe Baba Is You spoiled me too much.

Thank you very much for the review and suggestions!

I'm definitely hoping to add some more mechanics to the game as I'm not satisfied with the puzzle aspect at all! Some of your suggestions are things I envisioned initialy but either didn't have enough time to integrate, such as activating other mechanisms, or didn't see how to integrate it cleanly like the different gear ratios.

Yeah, it'd really have been nice to have an undo button, I didn't even think of it during development but in retrospect that should have been in the game. A restart button exists, but with itch.io's fullscreen mode it bothersome to access as you have to press Escape which normally opens the Pause menu which has a restart button, but if you're playing in fullscreen it'll first exit it without opening the pause menu..

Anyway, thanks again!
