ALMOST PERFECT GAME???

Honestly it's kinda black magic, the level of polish is amazing.

UI, Art, gameplay, narrative, music, sound effects, juice. It all screams full-game so hard, and it uses the gamejam theme really well.

I just kinda disliked a lot that dying resets the run, especially since the final boss is really hard to shoot at, does a lot of damage and also there is too few drops in that level.

All to be considered, it pissed me off just because i enjoyed the game a looot first. So very nice job!:D

(Props for the Itch page too, it's very well designed!:D)

Super happy to hear you liked it!! You make a good point about the difficulty, I wanted it to reset the whole run, because the game is a roguelike. But given the game's long playtime, I definitely messed up with that decision because a jam game should be short. I'll keep this in mind for my next jam games! Thank you so much for the feedback!!

I see! I can totally see the vision now. I'm gonna be honest, it didn't feel like a roguelike to me! I assumed it as a hotline miami alike linear game. The upgrades feel linear too and they were abundant enough to have them all even before the last level.

Anyways, to cheer this up again, I want to add something I didn't add in my first comment, this game has really serious potential to be expanded into a full game. If you can take the opportunity I think it's really worth it. It gave me full devolver digital game vibe. Not sure what is the process for them to publish someone but i can totally see it.

I can definitely see your point!! It does make me wonder, however, how roguelikes actually present themselves to the player and how they make the player understand the nature of the game. I've realized now that I've never actually played a roguelike, only roguelites, which are very different and the presentation comes from the game pretty much telling you.

I'm honored to hear it has full-game potential! I would honestly totally love to make this into a full game at some point! Currently I'm working on a different full-size game, so I don't have the time, energy or resources to make this into one. But like I said, I would absolutely love to make this into a full experience! Maybe once my current game is released and enough people are interested, I could give it a shot!

Thanks for the kind words about the music as well! 🥰

IT HAD A COMPOSER. It makes so much sense now! You nailed it!

Love what a good composer can do, it really enhances the experience. There were several times during my playthrough that I consciously thought, "Damn this music slaps". For me, this is when music stops being used as a background thing but as a core part of the vision. Congrats too, amazing work, it was flawlessly integrated in the experience and even trascended to be more. :D
