The popup message text is hard to read. It needs more contrast with the background. The tool tips for the shop could use with showing up faster, or having the game pause while it is open so new players have time to read them and learn what they do without being rushed. Initially I did not acknowledge I needed to hover over the windmill. When I did see it needed action, I thought it needed to be clicked on, and it was reading a tool tip that had me realize it just needed hovering. The shop hover pop out was not that great. Sometimes it did not close and I had to mouse back over and away. It felt jerky and not smooth. I was able to use it, it just felt a bit buggy.
Rescue Pubby says it costs 5 flour, but I had to get to 6 before it showed as clickable. I didn't get that until the epilogue and it did not seem to do anything.
This was a neat concept, but things were a bit too fast paced for the amount of text, especially with the lack of contrast. I missed many messages, which is a shame as they were amusing.
The lightning blades were neat. The upgrades, overall, were well done, and progressed nicely. The initial cost for planting extra crops was not clear, due to the long delay in the tooltips. I saw things happening, clicked on them, nothing happened, so moved on to try other things, and came back to try later. In the end I was able to figure things out and win, so it worked, just could be improved a bit.
