Nice job! It's quite fun. I think one of the main things holding this game back is that can be very difficult to tell which lane a note is on. Maybe if you gave the notes an obvious shadow which rode directly on the line? Or give the notes different colors based on which lane they're in? I also didn't quite understand the purpose of the speeding up/slowing down mechanic, it kinda feels like I'm being asked "Would you rather the game be harder or take longer?" which isn't a very fun question to answer as a player. Overall, there's potential in this idea!

I see a few complaints about the notes and while it didn't cross my mind in development, I can now see there is a bit of a problem with this one, the shadow idea you suggested seems great.

On the speed up/ slow down, we have noticed that speeding up, especially in first level makes the game way easier and slowing down often is not worth it, I tried messing with the numbers, but it still needs more polish.
