Finished it! It's a clever idea and it looks like you put a lot of work into it. This would benefit sooo much from some audio feedback. Equipping things was a little awkward, and I wish the UI didn't block my view of the monsters. This has potential though!

yeah the audio feedback would make the weapons and killing enemies much more satisfying but I felt it might get very chaotic when you get a lot of units. It was a challenge that I felt could be done well but I didn't feel I had enough time to dedicate to it.
On the other hand, it is quite awkward to equip things, I think I can fix that quickly by letting the weapon stat panel stay active when clicking a unit. My dream functionality would be drag and drop though haha.
Do you think that having a transparent UI would solve the issue or is it more the placement of the UI?
Thanks for the review!
I think it's placement. And you have so much space on the right side of the screen that's essentially unused.
There's a video by Aarimous called How I do Sound Effects in Godot that you should look into that would address your concerns with the chaos. Basically the sounds are managed so that if there's already so many sounds playing, it won't add more and blowout the audio.
