The master volume is too high; you can cap it so we have more control in the volume options (Thanks for adding volume options still)
And the resolution for your itch.io window is too high-- unless I missed a "fullscreen" option. I have a 1080p monitor and had a hard time seeing the whole window, I had to move my mouse out of the window to scroll up and down to try to see the whole picture.
I ended up dying trying to fix the window.

Might wanna fix those basic issues, and make the first level so easy you don't even need to control it before dying so quickly. To let people just settle in and vibe with your project for a bit.

(But-- overall, it looks awesome. Nice style!)

Will give the volume a look (hear). The resolution part is... well, my first web game on itch, so that tells you everything there is to know :) Top of my list.

For the slower start I was thinking about maybe starting the decay of the progress bar at the top only AFTER the player presses SPACE for the first time. Otherwise, yeah, I'm dropping a fresh player straight into a fail state with UI flashing red!

Thank you for the comment!
