I ended up giving your game a playthrough! I am jealous of your presentation. It looks really cohesive. Even your itch.io page fits the theme. I really need to learn how to make menus and... style the game more overall.

Cool little game!

I am really appreciating this feedback-- it seems like a lot of people are really interested in getting the maximum out of their spins! I will try to map it to an alternate button so people can launch it right after their latest spin!

Thank you for the suggestion-- those assets would be an awesome addition.. I might look into that to see if it is feasible to switch something more detailed in before the deadline ends! There is full screen in the options menu... maybe I could add a note about that in the opening messages, but like most gamers-- we are just in a rush to just hit start! :)

And you are so right-- the RPM mechanic was very difficult to implement.. and I don't think I found the best way to write it in code.. thanks for playing!

Oh-- I outright missed the language button.. I was to excited to start controlling the game mechanic. It didn't default to English, so I just assumed. My bad!

This is a cute game jam; fun little mini-games.. good humour. Good job you guys. Haha.

I left a comment on your games main page; great little side scroller/runner. The seriousness of this project is evident!

I ran into some performance issues on the second level--- I am on an older laptop, but the graphics are clean. Good design. The language barrier become present when it came time to choose the cards/perks/upgrades? But I just picked at random and enjoyed playing until it got too difficult! Quality presentation.

Presentation and art is great, a lot of reading and onboarding for a game jam--- I am trying to figure it out, haha! Not sure if I understand the depth of the dialogs and options.

Game is difficult, but the graphics and art style are awesome.

You might have a really nice big monitor; so when you play it in the window the window prolly fits nicely in your window. But some people are playing 1080p, or even 720p monitors.. so the game is bigger than the window it's in. If that makes sense? It was able to play it, just had to put it on my bigger monitor! :D

Dude! This is great! I love the little Juniper sprites-- and the game was easy enough that I didn't lose right away.. which is the problem with most game jam games I play. It was actually a lot of fun.. !

I played a lot of Project Zomboid in my time, so I appreciate the intro.

The art and UI menus are amazing this is quality work--- I tried testing it on a laptop with a track pad though-- so I had a hard time, I am going to book mark this is make sure I test it when the jam is finished on my main computer! I am super impressed with your style on the menus and stuff. That is something I really need to work on. Great presentation!

Unfortunately the game won't load for me either? I am on my little laptop. I will try to give this a try on my big gaming computer. Maybe no enough ram or something?

What program are you making this in? Might be fun to have an easy mode where the delta time is slowed down for the old gamers like me. The idea is super awesome though! Haha, loved it. Sock in the dryer? Took me a few play throughs to get it. I think you got a solid little pocket game here if you could make it feel more rewarding to stay alive.

Because it's pretty tough! I got a game that needs testing aswell-- I have a thread open on here aswell if anyone else is in the forum testing! Cheers!

Thanks for the input-- I checked back and read this right after testing a few other people's games. I never even thought about that-- so I attached the scale to the speed.. and it's in! :) It does kind of look cool to have a larger tornado.

I've been trying my best to help other people with playtesting-- if you do happen to leave criticism
for me; please feel free to leave a link to your games for me, and other people looking to help with play tests!

Graphics are good. Frame rate is good. Resolution is a little high to play inside of a window? Maybe have a full screen button in the main menu? My only complaint was it was tough--- it would be fun if the first level was like--- fewer enemies, and less chances of taking damage!

Oh dude, this game is amazing. I think you got a chance at getting a great score! The winding of the level is really satisfying.
It's almost always a complaint of mine, and I am guilty of it in my own games-- but the game difficulty ramps.. you could have 10 levels of just shooting this thing in a straight line and it'd be fun as heck!

Then ramp it up a little! :D

It's tough-- I am not sure I really know what to do. But that is my fault.. I'm not sure if it is the window'd mode? My mouse keeps jumping in and out of the window.

The graphics are good. The art style is good. It just feels very overwhelming, control and content wise. Maybe just introduce one thing at a time? Instead of all at once? That first screen where everything is labelled for example. Maybe have it so each one reveals itself as you press spacebar, so you look at each one?

[My game:]

Here is my game; some people were complaining about the controls and I spent some time cleaning it up. If you see anything else to add/change.

I just got my game into a publicly sharable place, after doing a few smaller closed playtests on the Discord.

I am just about to head to bed for the night, and I've ironed out as many bugs and hiccups as I could.
I am starting to think it's almost finished..
If anyone out there has a second to give this a play test, and let me know if I am missing something very obvious.. I will be able to make a few patches before the deadline. Thank you so much!

-Press 'C' to change camera perspectives;

-F to get in and out of the vehicle.

-E to talk to NPCs

-Tab or I to open inventory, while in proximity of a lootable building/shop or NPC/enemy body.

-1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 in first person to change weapons

-Middle Mouse button to zoom in and out, hold to pan while in top down camera mode.

-W/A/S/D to control your movement, steering, throttle.

-Shift, and spacebar will engage the vehicles brakes.

-Up and Down Arrows control the transmission.

-F4 will control your mechanical repair menu when near repair shops;

-F7 will bring up the yellow pages, with NPC information

-F5, F6, and F9 control debug options and show/hide HUD elements

Amazing little game! It is just a shame that the difficulty ramps so quickly, that it discourages me from just enjoying and experimenting with the mechanic. The first couple of levels should have just been.. rewarded for learning to control the machine.
Being asked to stack things right away in a very specific order-- over whelmed me, and I will admit cut my play session shorter than it otherwise would have been!

It would have been fun if you just rolled forward and moved a few things, talked to a few npcs--- learned more about Mr. Strange!
That's just my 2 cents! :D

Impressive game overall..
