That makes me curious actually as a fellow game dev.
Why is it that you can make a Mac build for Steam, but not for Itch? I have had trouble with Mac builds anyway, so I can see how issues would come up.
So, the most annoying thing to do a mac build is to "sign" it (I don't remember the correct word for that, sorry).
You need a Mac computer and an expensive developer account. I don't have any of those.
But if you just push a unity build through Steam, Steam will sign it and it can be played on a Mac computer.
It does still comes with more bugs specific to the Mac version, and since we don't have a Mac we have to rely on our community to find those, but at least it's possible.
Ah okay. I didn't realize Steam did that. That explains it thank you.
Now I am curious though do you plan on keeping Itch.io and Steam separate or having an Itch.io purchase come with a Steam Key? Sorry for all the questions btw I enjoyed the demo and want to know about the future of the game. Not to mention as a Game Dev I like discussing how Game Devs are doing things with their game and on store fronts.
