No matter what I do, the Radicals seem to want my head on a pike by August. Am I missing something, or was the political reality just that terrible?

same, though i'm not surprised that electoral politics is mostly about catering to "centrists" XD
I dont understand why you use past tense, political reality just is that terrible.
Most of our "centrists" are now what they called far right back then.
I was a little bit surprised to see no far right representation in the parliament, it was a different time.
