Not really the case - calling all centrists "far-right" and cancelling them is why they broke for the far-right in recent years. Good ol' tent-shrinking, nothing beats that.

First define centrists, then explain what kind of "alliance between centrists and far right" is out there. And there is a lot more to do before there is any meaningful discussion too.

just one example of the top of my head, to remain in the topic of France, this week, Macron's ruling coalition, commonly (wrongly) referred to as "centrists", passed a law from (and with) the far right to allow cops to kill people without justification.
