Hey itch community, I'm looking to hire a pixel art game developer to build an original game on Orbem Studio and get paid for their time.

Orbem Studio is a browser-based no-code game engine where games live at their own URL instantly. No coding required. You focus entirely on the creative side, game concept, art, and design, while the engine handles everything else.

What you get:

- Paid project (DM me to discuss rate)

- Full creative control over the game concept

- Featured placement on orbem.studio/games

- Direct support from me throughout the entire build

- Your game live at its own URL shareable anywhere

What I'm looking for:

- Pixel art or 2D game art experience

- A genuine interest in browser and indie games

- Availability to complete a short project

- Willingness to share honest feedback about the build experience

The game doesn't need to be complex. A short polished experience that showcases your art style is the goal. Here are some games already built with the engine so you can see what's possible:

I'm looking for higher quality experiences and non-AI art compared to existing games but you can see the game play abilities on that page.

If you're interested reply here or send me a message with a link to your work and I'll get back to you quickly.

Thanks

I'm interested; does the program include something like a dice or something similar

Hey, great question. There isn't a built in dice mechanic currently but the engine supports custom interaction triggers, item values, and mission logic that could replicate dice-like randomization through JavaScript. It's not a out of the box feature but it's something that could be built into the engine if the concept is a useful addition.

What kind of game are you thinking of building? That would help me understand whether Orbem Studio is the right fit for your concept.

Just like with a board game, if that's not possible, you can be a platform game, a runner, or a turn-based combat game, for example.

Got it. Why don't you email me at scott.adrian@orbemorder.com and we can continue discussing the project. Thanks!

Sounds like an interesting opportunity to try out new tools. I'm interested.  Most of my work lives here on itch, but my hand-drawn and pixel art games are specifically HERE.

Hey thanks so much for the reply. You games and art are great. Hit me up at scott.adrian@orbemorder.com and we can go over the whole spiel.

Hi Scott, I develop browser games with Construct 2 and Construct 3, also I am able to create a bit of art too.
I will be happy to give you my feedback about the program you have created while creating games for you.
I have already watched a few of your videos and have some suggestions I can point you out, but I will wait until have direct experience while creating the game, since you could have already improved your engine.

You can check some of my old projects here made with Construct 2 and Construct 3:

Not all my projects are on itch.io, but you can find a good amount of them so you know what type of games I can usually create:

I will send you an e-mail, so you can explain more in details what you need and the job conditions.

Thank you.

Hello! As a professional pixel artist with extensive experience in creating high quality hand drawn 2D game assets I would love to build a polished original indie experience on Orbem Studio. I specialize in designing clean non AI game ready tilesets and character animations that thrive within browser constraints while giving the game a distinct visual identity. I am highly comfortable working independently on the creative concept and am eager to provide structured honest feedback on your engine's no code workflow. Since this project focuses on a short and highly polished gameplay experience do you have a preferred genre in mind like a platformer top down RPG or puzzle game that best highlights the engine's current capabilities?

Hi Scott,

I'm Fia and I'm from Plexus Studio.

I came across your post and thought there might be an opportunity for us to collaborate.
Plexus Studio is a game development studio specializing in Unity game development, while our sister studio, Oray Studios, focuses on creating high-quality 2D and 3D game art assets. Together, we help clients build complete game experiences from concept to production.

We noticed that you're looking for talented pixel artists and game creators to build games on Orbem Studio. While we understand you're currently looking for individual creators, we would love to explore whether our team could support Orbem Studio with game development, pixel art production, asset creation, or other content initiatives in the future.

Here is our portfolio for your reference:

Looking forward to hearing from you.
