Cool, it’s like a stream of consciousness… with buttons.

It deserves to be completed.

thanks for checking it out! I'll do my best :)

Really cool concept!

Developer(+1)

thanks, it means a lot coming from you! Your game makes me think maybe I should burrow some mentions of babies in the narrative thread.

It's truly a brilliant game! :O
He is very simple but also very rich.

I love it when someone manipulates basic video game objects to create new interactions. It's very clever.

Furthermore, the concept provides a rather strong visual style.

It's really well designed, well done!

thanks for playing!!

I got way too invested into the research/the text so the rest of the game remained way too simple unfortunately, but I'm not losing hope to finish it after the jam!

Enjoyable, and quite introspective in my opinion! It made me ask what was I doing, and I believe the abundant DLCs are a great critique of the illusion of choice and faulty defaults of current applications.

Push your buttons gave me vibes of Please Don't Touch Anything mixed with Universal Paper Clips, insofar as it provided escalating content while nevertheless keeping an ambience of triviality! The subplots were interesting, and the different routes too, perhaps a call for introspection would have given it more readability for users who aren't used to reflections hehe.

Keep up the great efforts, yo!

I like to push buttons.
Again, and again, and again...
Not sure I'm following any path consistently.
But I learned a lot of things along the way ;) Some parts felt a little like poetry too.

Seriously though, I like the concept. I reached ends, not all of them though. I had to trash the buttons a lot because the accumulation was crazy ahah. Lot of chaos in this sea of buttons, but I like it this way, even though I don't know how you intend to polish the game after the jam is over!

Thanks for playing!

It is a mix of lesson and poetry isnt it xD

As you point out the main problem is that it gets messy, I have to change the UX/empower the user to manage threads and I realized it would take longer than the game jam allowed, but I do have a lot of ideas to explore and try out.

btw since you're here ^^ I've played Mindfarer in the past, what should I focus on in this jam's review ^^ ?

Submitted(+1)

Yeah I like the concept I hope you will be able to review it as you intend to afterwards!
Would you like me to repost my comment on your game page instead btw? I didn't think about it thoroughly before but I've realised most people prefer to comment/have comments on the game page instead of the jam's page :D

As for Mindfarer, that's so cool if you've played it before! I guess we met in the 2024 edition, but I accidentally deleted our game from the jam like 7 minutes before the end of the rating period lmao... so we lost all the reviews, the ranking etc --' that was harsh lol.

I checked your games to refresh my memory. I do remember playing your game Centrist Simulator, I enjoyed it a lot :))!

We were a bit burned out after the 2024 jam but this year we decided to rework the game. The core idea and gameplay are still the same. I redrew the characters assets, the dialogues were reworked to add more variability + the possibility to romance some characters if you behave a certain way during your missions and in the hub. The navigation was improved and there is a bonus mission in the Rage Against the Machine ending. We were only three available members out of our five people team this year, so the result is a bit rough and there are still la lot of little features we wish to add, but, we will have to polish it afterwards ^^

Developer

dont worry about it, i can use the game page comment for when the game is actually over :)  i dont really care either way.

Yeah i think i played the 2024 version , i did keep an eye on the entries of other years though.

I'll definitely play the reworked version and let you know how it goes :)

Centrist simulator might still be my most successful accomplishment lmao i was lucky in 2024 i had a little bit of help from other people who were interested in the project, this year i was alone maybe its why i couldnt finish on time XD
