Q about realizing the 4th, “harmful” class sentence.

My kid (building a Struggler) asks about realizing “I am always under threat” to “I am always under threat from bounty hunters (or something similar), as a way to eventually counter being under threat from something else.

I like his creativity, but it feels wrong to me - always the being under threat from a thing doesn’t mean that’s the only thing threatening you. Am I right on this point?

But now I’m trying to figure out how to realize that sentence to be useful (outside of a Tragic Success), without totally changing the thrust of the sentence. “I am always under threat of breaking into song” is fun, and legal, but doesn’t quite fit…

I’d be curious to hear what other folks do to realize those sentences.

Ah, so if you were threatened by a rockslide you could try to say "I'm always under threat by bounty hunters, so this rockslide can't threaten me"? That does seem odd. It's not "I am always under threat by bounty hunters and bounty hunters alone". Every person's Realis is different, but I probably wouldn't go along with that.

I think that one, in particular, really is tougher than usual to use outside of a Tragic Success. You could use a Sentence like that to summon a bounty hunter attack upon a place that has you prisoner. You could say that someone will help you, because you're clearly in trouble. Maybe even say "I'm keeping lookout because I am always under threat".
You could Realize to "I always fight under threat", another verb than "am".

Hey! I fully issed this a few months ago, sorry I missed it!

I LOVE that as a Realization for "I am always under threat," and you totally could use it to Counter a Sentence from someone else. But you have the right of it when you say that it doesn't make that threat exclusive.

You can't do is say "Well I'm not under threat from (say) wolves, becuase I'm always under threat from Bounty Hunters." But you could say "The wolf is about to get its jaws around me, but at the last second it's shot with a crossbow bolt... fired by a Bounty Hunter who's shown up to try to kill me!"

Conflicts always change the situation. Sentences can't be used to simply say "nothing happens" and they don't define reality negatively. They define it productively. That is: When they're used, the thing they say happens.

Hope that helps!
