On a mac here, It says I don't have permission to open it even though I've checked the permissions.Edit: fixed with terminal commands.
Can I ask how you were able to fix it? I am having a similar issue...
Open terminal and type With a space after
chmod +x
then drag app in to terminal window
then type with a space after
chmod -R 755
drag app in again
