Thanks for your submission! The concept and themes/questions it produces are very interesting and the double character with one being shared set up is very unique, definitely happy to have it, but since I read through it (not all the programs) anyway, I may as well critique it a bit. I'd like a response if you have a chance, to know that you can be reached at the very least as you'll need to approve the transfer to the bundle when the time comes.

The main "flaw" I think is that there is not an overarching point to the game that I can see, there is no plot and no way to win or really make progress, and if the game was exclusively intended for one shots that would be fine since the focus seems to be exploring themes, relationships, and sci-fi/horror concepts. But... since the game is intended to potentially run over multiple sessions it's a bit hard to see how that could be sustained. As an addendum to this, there is a huge focus on cx score, it seems to be the main source of "progression", but if it has any point beyond acting as a way to track relationships I'm not sure what it is, again fine for one shots but if you want the game to run longer it should probably have some clear purpose or effect given it receives so much focus.

Other minor notes:

4 b tags seems to mean you auto fail checks but this is not explicitly established.

"Write this on a Meatframe Sheet, along with their pronoun (see the section on AnimAL Eti quette , above)"

I thought meat pronouns were always it?

meats should have space to write personality stuff down on char sheets so players can rp them consistently.

hi thanks for your thoughts!

Yes, there's not a goal or point to the game. Are you familiar with Mobile Frame Zero: Firebrands? Similar to that game, it is about exploring relationships, etc., as you point out. It's also a bit of a WIP, this one, so longer-range mechanics may or may not come into play in later versions. It's meant to be picked up as something of a palate cleanser between longer campaigns of something else perhaps. Or just for fun.

Ditto progression: There's no real progression to the game. Cx is just for flavoring relationships. I wouldn't say there is a huge focus on Cx; you could just as easily play the game without it. I don't see progression as a necessary component of a ttrpg.

Having four B-tags doesn't necessarily mean auto-failing, since you can have positive modifiers to compensate for that. But four B-tags is a lot and yes, you'll probably usually fail those checks. Which is fine, since failing is where a lot of the most interesting story happens in a lot of ttrpgs.

Re pronouns: Yes, meatframes are always "it," you read that correctly :)

"Take -1 for each of your meatframe's current B-tags."

"Take +1 if you have one or more Meat tags that could help you."

Based on the difference in phrasing and how, do x if one or more, is generally understood, as written you only get +1 even if you have more than one relevant meat tag, in which case if you have -4 the total is -3, making a roll of even a 6 a three and thus a failure.

You're leaving out the other +1 for weapons or narrative positioning. In any case, if you have too many B tags, you auto-fail, you're correct. This is intentional. But you're welcome to hack the game or play it however you like if you find that unappealing!

You're right! Thanks for the clarification.
