1 ... Moving diagonal feels like I am faster than moving down/up/only left or only right
2 ... When I fight shoes machines and spamming fire fire -> I do not intentional click random powerup.
3 ... Machine renders on players head (check render order logic/sort order by Y)

Cool entry, just wish the upgrades added a bit more variety to the player attacks. Or changed them in a more substantial way.
Thank for the feedback. I 100% agree with that and will explore this further.
I've added the upgrades on the last day before submitting because it seems to be the major mechanic in such games.

Yeah. I'm still not sure what I am missing but this needs a rework to make it feel better.
I actually even tried adding the player velocity to the bullet before but made it even worse XD
A fine and smooth vampaires survivors like
A solid entry into the jam. Once I understood the red vending machine was 1 hit, the yellow was two shot it kind of became too easy. Each enemy type was easy to avoid at distance with its attack not even triggering. I didn't feel the upgrades had a great impact on my ability to kill the enemy. I got to wave 12 - with 14 lives. I pretty much became untouchable. Overall a good attempt, more development would see it improve.

That is usally the biggest issue I get with gamejams because I don't like too difficult games XD If continued then for sure the diffuclty and balance will the first thing to improve.
I played this for way too long. The only issue I ran into seemed to be that you can't get MUCH more than 40 sugarcubes. I get 40, then it just fluctuates between 40 and 43 no matter how many I get. Fun times though apart from that minor gripe!

Sorry for this weird behavior. It actualy is giving you extra life whenever you reach 50 sugar by consuming small amount. That was the last moment addition so there is no proper visual or sound feedback that would explain that ;-)

this would be a cool project to expand on. More enemy types would make this even better. Honestly i had a blast!

I feel it good, died at wave 8, good controls and easy gameplay, I would add some other vending machines variety but I understand it is a gamejam so needs to be not too much of content... I was able to get out of the scene xd
Thanks for the feedback. mI even had the additional machines on the list but of cours run out of time ;-) My idea about out of scene would be to add a shrinking scene mechanic so that you can't go too far and you are being pushed into the center with machines on your back.
