The tutorial can be incredibly brief and the latest update simplified it greatly. If all you want to do is start the game, you can just hit the red bubbles and finish it in less than five minutes. You can ignore the signal collecting & processing tutorial completely even. But the game gives you the option to do other parts of it as you progress if you aren't familiar with them. It's on you whether you care to do them.
What you're wanting is a tutorial that both encapsulates all of the controls, physics interactions, things you need to keep track of, and systems for doing your job while being incredibly brief. That's just not possible.
The rest of this comment is just frustration with the game not zoning in specifically on what you want it to. The main drive of the game is exploration and doing the central task of the game. You can absolutely ignore that task and do other things, if you want to garden or manage bitcoin miners or decorate or go caving or diving or whatever else. Or you can turn off every other system that could possibly make you get out of your chair in front of a computer scanning for signals.
The game is completely open to whatever your whims desire. It's on you to find your own fun.
