I just took a look at the credits scene on v1.05 and it plays for me! That's a very strange bug...

Scaling as in display settings? The default scaling in DX is 640px*360px (16:9 aspect ratio) as opposed to the original's 490px*400px to comply with today's common monitors. There's more resolution options now to cater for other aspect ratios that appear in the wild (16:10, 21:9, 32:9, even 4:3 and 5:4 for those that really want to mimick the oldschool experience) so that black bars don't appear on those monitors! DX works fine on WINE for both Mark and Josh so far. Scaling is locked on the browser version since I think screen size for itch.io embeds are locked as well.

TSE2 rerelease comes down to how well DX performs! I'm keeping my expectations tempered, as I still have a few marketing beats remaining (and Josh is remaking the whole OST, too!) before finally releasing the full game. I think I already got to live the dream by co-working with Mark and Josh on DX 😁Fingers still crossed for a TSE3!

It's always healing to see returning players :)

I had a quick look/new game to confirm, I think it's the music moving between areas in Giant's Cradle, that track is what played over the credits. I thought it was a choice haha.

Ah okay, that answers my question, and good to know the Linux angle is being tested too.

I imagine TSE2DX would be even more time consuming than the first also. By remaking do you mean rerecording? Or are we losing our sweet, sweet OG soundtrack? :O

Fingers crossed indeed. Mark's worlds are amazing, I like the art, the dialogue and plot is great and then Josh's music just captures it all so well. These two games are in my top 10 games. Nostalgically biased? Who knows! XD

If it's just updates to comply with modern machines, TSE2 becomes more feasible, but a full DX treatment sounds scary to me 😵‍💫Hopefully not the same amount of years as the original TSE2 (4.5 years)! It ended up taking me the exact same amount of time to give TSE1 the DX treatment as when Mark first wrote TSE1 within 2 years!

By remaking I mean redoing the entire OST from the ground up! The OG still stays as a toggleable, don't worry! It's very cool to see Josh take on the OST now at 38-years-old versus 16-years-old!

Same for me! It still saddens me the games seem to be forgotten to time - I hope to change that! We'll see if it really is just rose-tinted glasses, or if I'm giving the games a 2nd chance in the limelight! The games really are a figment of Mark's expansive imagination...
