Beach credits, the "boyboyboyboyboyboy ah-yeah" song haha. Will the default scaling be the similar/same as the original game, so if emulated on Linux (where it sounds like scaling isn't an option or is locked) it'll be a good experience? Glad to hear about the items though. I could never figure out how to 'cheat' in the original to try the items out, but they look very useful.

Looking at the 'cutting room floor' for TSE2, you'd have plenty of excellent material for a potential TSE2 too, should you want to one day after this. I really hope this game does big numbers and Mark Pay sees the appetite for a 3rd installment. Perhaps you could co-develop!

I just took a look at the credits scene on v1.05 and it plays for me! That's a very strange bug...

Scaling as in display settings? The default scaling in DX is 640px*360px (16:9 aspect ratio) as opposed to the original's 490px*400px to comply with today's common monitors. There's more resolution options now to cater for other aspect ratios that appear in the wild (16:10, 21:9, 32:9, even 4:3 and 5:4 for those that really want to mimick the oldschool experience) so that black bars don't appear on those monitors! DX works fine on WINE for both Mark and Josh so far. Scaling is locked on the browser version since I think screen size for itch.io embeds are locked as well.

TSE2 rerelease comes down to how well DX performs! I'm keeping my expectations tempered, as I still have a few marketing beats remaining (and Josh is remaking the whole OST, too!) before finally releasing the full game. I think I already got to live the dream by co-working with Mark and Josh on DX 😁Fingers still crossed for a TSE3!

It's always healing to see returning players :)
