Im curious to see how many if any people have refused to do any of the ruthless routes.
there've been plenty. many have come to the comments to learn more about it, but refuse to go through it themselves. "i'd never do that to my boi" or something. but really, just go check it out. there's some nice lore drop you won't see in the main route, and MC doesn't have to be you. it's all fiction. the pov is from argos for most of it anyway. those 4 chapters are more about him than anyone else.
There is a line that Asterion said that cemented my decision to never do a Ruthless route, no matter what.
Asterion said someting along the lines of the old masters being kind at first, but when they got bored they became violent. They abused him just because they were bored and their actions had no consequence. I couldn't ever bring myself to do that.

it isn't. the route isn't about it. just the one and the other scene. besides, if you open the game to read it in that way is akin to being responsible for having someone else kill him, and say in your defense "i wasn't the one to pull the trigger". like, it's fiction, it's okay, just own it that you did read it.
