Aaaargh -- I HATE that he's still ALIVE (esp after all MC lost with that - DBZ level finisher move...). And by MAGIC of all things, even though his Hypocrite behind wants to Curse it. Is HE a mage too?? Or does he just have some kind of magical protection that surpassed his amulet/armor? Because I thought the former and was like: PLOT TWIIISSSST.... (Also: Loved the line: "The kind of smile worn by men who have already decided how many people will die tonight.")
But - Gaaaaawd, seeing Baby Girl(TM) MC in Action - 🤤😭😤 I knew what was coming with the gif -- but it was All the more BADASS seeing it in-game. (I wonder: Is there a way you can avoid him attacking you at all with those 30 choices?) That: 'Surprise~' -- AaaaaAAAAaskaljnkla Also? I Adored the chess/round of questions with him -- as Pragmatic and Careful as my baby is, you can Tell she loves the thrill of evading capture in plain sight just as much~ And: Red being confirmed Royalty. I absolutely wasn't surprised/thought so ever since last chapter end -- but the Reason WHY he was kept alive still eludes me. With how Bloodthirsty new ruler and his cronies are, you'd think they'd want to end that line at the first opportunity.... so - why Not? And Red being esp Terrified of him makes me think he was: Main torturer....
As for Inga: she CUTE. I like that she makes my MC - 🤨 and 😏 in turns. There def seems to be some (DARK)Depth to her that she hides behind that smile and I really want to know her more (we got some catching up to do to get to Prisoner's level!). I didn't have any issues with their flirting! -- certainly nothing cringey. I'd have to see more of it in Action to give a proper assessment, but I liked how MC still kept her sass while showing interest. Inga currently comes off more like a playgirl, like she just flirts with pretty faces - and if that's true: She's gonna have the Hard Time with my MC. But I have a feeling her passion (saying she wouldn't give the satisfaction of screaming if burned alive) + dedication (swearing she'd protect the villagers) is what wins. If you'd ever like some perspective/feedback on them flirting, specifically, happy to help~
I will say, re: inclusion (and just plain - fact): I would change MC's blushing from that bright red to a darker tone of her skin, if you want to show it artistically. A person of her skin color doesn't flush red like those with lighter ones. You did a great job with describing her blushing though (i.e. as heat at her cheeks vs. 'pink/red tinge' )!
I know this was a Doozy for you, but it was such a great chapter and the TENSE + pacing was Fabulous! Worried for the kiddies and town with next chap (and also if I was sold out by a certain hunter...), but feel I'll get more Inga/Rebel times, so - 🤷🏾♀️ Bring it~
