My brain can't process tracker interfaces when making music.  Is there any way to implement a view that has a piano roll like Cakewalk or Mario Paint?

Developer

Yes, it's possible to implement but that defeats the purpose of a tracker. It's important to honor it's heritage, and lots of composers of retro music are used to this way of creating music. If you want bars and blocks there are heaps of great music software available that has it :)

Heya, I've been using PT2 clone for a while and these additions sound great!

I only use linux, so a native linux build, or better yet open repository wold be awesome :)

Developer

Hey. I plan on doing a Linux build very soon. I wanted to get the Windows version out first and get some public testing and feedback first.

Awesome. It does run via wine so I'll give it a shot next time I'm tracking.

support for more of 128k samples. I know that is incompatible with replayers but can be useful for load them for cut before.

Developer

I like the idea. A way to implement this is to allow user to load extra large samples into a separate sample buffer which is not part of the song data, but available to edit in the sampler, so you can copy/cut, add filters and all that jazz. When module is saved that sample buffer is just ignored.

yes, If you implement this, it would be a good idea to display a notification saying something like:

- Hey! You're trying to load a sample larger than 128k! Bear in mind that this won't be saved in the .mod file.
