Did you share what happened? I am quite curious because Steam is one of the best platforms from consumers' perspective (or is it costumer, now I am confused).
Was it because it's NSFW, the fees or the forms you have to fill?
Basically I planned 2025 around Monolilith, worked on it non stop,aiming an early access release before Halloween to get into Halloween sales.
First I was refused Halloween. It was a hard blow cause financially I spent my whole year focusing on that event to get enough money to finish Monolilith.
But fine, I decided to focus solely on the early access. So they accept my steam page and Monolilith is on steam. Now I send them a build for the early access. Weeks pass when usually it takes days. During these weeks, new rule "adult games forbidden to use early access".
So now they answer me "we refuse you game", but you just accepted it and it's whole early access promotion texts. "Don't care, we make the rules, you just can't anymore".
I even met a french publisher before that mess. But now it's all fucked up.
But is it worse than itch sudden censorship and, the only message from it's funder being 🫡
