This game addresses many inconsistencies in the original game and makes it much more logical, quite impressive! Some questions and remarks:

- According to the text, on a critical hit, the Pugilist "stuns" his opponent. Should this be "sunders" or perhaps "dazes"?

- I don't understand the purpose of the Size table on page 19?

- Page referrals often point to the wrong page, it may be good to check them.

- Would it be possible to still get a hold of the old cover?

Firstly, thank you for checking out my game!

Yes the Stun should be dazed. Nice catch.

the table on page 19 has to do with the attack adjustment. So if your throwing oil at a small creature you gain a -1 to your d20 roll.

Ive corrected many of them but there are a lot ill give it another pass.

And yeah I suppose so. I just didnt want so many files to download. Caused a bit of a mess. Ill upload the alt cover in the future.

Thanks, makes sense! A gameplay question: at which point do you allow characters to gain weapon proficiency? Do you tie it to certain events or perhaps character level?

Proficiencies require training time and money. So it can happen anytime they gain the money to do so. However, due to other expenses, they often have to decide as a group when and who will get to train. This means they might have to sacrifice buying that new plate armor or living in a cheaper room. plus its usually a great risk to adventure long enough to gain the required coin to afford to train.

As a DM, you can give this as little or as much extra flavor as you would like.

I guess it’s all about pacing. With higher hit die monsters doing so many attacks, it seems it can quickly become deadly for the PCs, and the extra attacks balance it out a bit. (Besides being fun — which player doesn’t like extra attacks? 😉)
