I'll wait for it to come together. Right now it's a spacebar simulator. What's that barking sound between ready and fire?

Hi jaogwal,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback!

The idea behind the bark and clown horn is that they are distraction sounds or false flags that would throw the player off of the true "Fire".

In its final form, the player wins when drawing faster than their (PC) opponent 5 times in a row (coming soon!)

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the sfx, if in its current form, its more off-putting than silly (silly is the intention)

Btw, I played an earlier build of insect zoom when it was passworded and it was lovely! Once I've completed my project I'm excited to play your latest and give feedback. Thanks again!

More than silly or off-putting, I found it confusing. Maybe some form of clicks and rubs that sound more like drawing and cocking a gun like the opponent is cheating and getting ready to shoot before the signal? Or some... old western sounds like horses neighing or wagon wheels squeaks? Rooster crowing? Church bell ringing? Gun firing in the distance? Anything that doesn't break suspension of disbelief rather than going for silly, I'd suggest.

That makes a lot of sense to make the sound effects more related to the environment. From your feedback I'm understanding now that they should have been more congruent. While I don't plan on adding more sound effects to this game, I will take this advice for the sound design of future projects. Your examples really illustrated your feedback well. Thank you Jaogwal!
