I'm a big fan of this, fits right at home for a GBA-inspired track. The Roland sounds are a nice touch, I'm pretty sure that's even the same trumpet that rse and frlg sampled, just higher quality obviously (not 100% sure off the top of my head, but that's absolutely the Mother 3 trumpet). The syncopated melody at the beginning evokes Ever Grande City to me, which is a nice touch because of it's proximity to victory road. I also really enjoy the hopeful nature of this piece, kind of a juxtaposition to the rse victory road. I think my only critique is the instruments playing the melody could be brought out more in the mix. It's not as offensive when the trumpet's playing because it's higher range makes it easier to distinguish, but when the horn has the lead it gets a little lost in the background. Awesome stuff, keep up the great work!

Listening back I think you're right, the horn could be turned up a bit in the chorus sections. I was trying to fine-tune the levels in mono but I think the horn just may also need some EQ adjustments. Also yeah I ended up finding out later that Roland samples were used for the GBA games so that was a happy accident/coincidence! Thanks and appreciate the feedback on this!
