Wow, the art style here is incredible! The way the 2D characters blend with the 3D world is super satisfying to look at. For a one week project, this is seriously impressive and feels very professional. The music is great and the card game is a lot of fun. Really well-polished work! :)

Perfectly on theme, great artistic direction, and a really really nice ending !

I got lost in the ocean, it wasn't very clear where the invisible walls were the edges of the map and where they weren't, as some algae/rocks can be moved through whereas some cannot.

I won each game at my first attempt, perhaps I was lucky, but I suspect the computer's moves weren't great.

It was a really well made game, the visuals and music really go well together and the gameplay is like icing on the cake.

Wow! I did only play the “patched” version, but this is an amazing game! In a ~week of work?! Madness 👏

I love the “3D-world with billboard 2D”-look. The little head animation as you walk adds a lot, even though the sprites by themselves looks great! I would have loved to see a “Balatro-style” subtle card animation and fanning effect. I don’t know how to do it in Unity, but I have followed this Godot tutorial in the past and it seems doable without putting any more pressure on the artist 😄

Hiding some of the cards as characters in the map was such a fun idea! I also appreciated the opponents talking as they played their cards, feels like there’s a lot of space for flavour there!

Mechanics-wise, I’m a sucker for deck-building and I’m one of those who have spent more time in Gwent than in the actual Witcher 3 world 😂 I like the “gotta win 2 out of 3!” spin for card games whenever I see it.

The synergies with the default deck were fun to trigger (“deathrattle”-based), and there were a few later on cards that can be easily slotted in for a stronger version of the deck.

I think an initial Discard phase (select 0-2 cards to redraw, or similar) would add a lot! It’s always fun to build for a game-breaking combo, and a bit of redraw at the start of the game is a staple for allowing you a bit more control.

You created so many assets for this game! I expected just the 1 tutorial + 1 boss at best, and you had 1 tutorial + 3! Plus extra traversal mechanics with the teleports 🤯 Even the end was special & trippy!

Congratulations for this submission, you should be extra proud 🙌

Thanks a lot for the kind words! We didn't get much sleep that week and I have worked on several card games in the past, that helped :p
I appreciate the great suggestions! The duel part of the game sure needs a lot more polish and love, a fanning effect would add a lot and I think more VFX in general would increase the fun. An initial discard phase is a great Idea that we hadn't thought of. It could counterbalance the game's lack of draw and add more strategy and planning, but it might also reduce the randomness of each duel. I might experiment with that!
And I'm happy you liked the assets, they were all done by my brother, he worked like crazy. :p Great day!

Very cool game! I love the music and interesting card gameplay, a little bit frustrationg that it depends that much of luck, but funny anyway

Really interesting entry! Impressive that it was done by a team of only two. I quite liked the Marvel Snap-like gameplay, and the setting is very interesting. Too bad I got stuck during some French dialogue (?) and couldn't continue playing.

Also, there were some issues with the resolution - fullscreen didn't work properly for me and everything looked a bit blurry both windowed and fullscreen.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment! Sadly the Game was full of bugs and barely playable, so I uploaded a new version. If you want to try the full Game, we would be thrilled. Have a really nice day

For me the game won't load, it's stuck on the unity loading screen.

Sorry for that! We uploaded a bug fixed version if you want to try it out. Have a nice Jam!
