The Table Has Been Summoned

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the very first devlog for Witch Table — a dark fantasy arcade game about precision, tension, and controlled chaos.

This post marks the official beginning of the project’s public development journey. From now on, I’ll be sharing progress updates, design decisions, experiments, mistakes, improvements, and everything in between.

Description

Witch Table is a skill-based arcade experience set in a grim fantasy atmosphere.

You don’t control the ball directly.
You control the environment.

Each level challenges your spatial awareness and micro-adjustments as you rotate the table to align gravity and movement. The mood is intentionally unsettling — dark wood, ritualistic glow, subtle unease in the soundtrack.

It’s minimal in concept.
But it aims to feel intense.

Current Prototype Status

The game currently features:

6 fully playable levels

✅ Core rotation mechanics (WASD, Arrow Keys, Gamepad, On-Screen Joystick)

✅ Scoring system (hit the magical circle to progress)

✅ Dark fantasy atmosphere

✅ Initial sound design to build tension and discomfort

✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦

The core gameplay loop is already solid: You rotate a heavy wooden tavern table to guide a mysterious ball into a glowing magical circle. Sounds simple — but precision and timing become increasingly demanding.

The table doesn’t forgive hesitation.

16.02.2026 I developed level 8 and 9! it covers mostly level design

Hello! Today I made some progress by finishing Level 10.

From a game dev perspective I made decision to add something new at the end of every 10 levels. This time it's changing perspective.  I think it opened a lot of design possibilities for levels 11-20.

What do you think? Did you expected that?

Congrats, it looks awesome 😁

Best of lucks with the project!

Oh thanks! Very nice to hear that you like it 😉 I have some ideas and plans about this project. I plan 40 levels for a full game and every tens I would like to introduce new mechanic 😉 Very appreciate your comment 😊

Youre welcome, curious to see how your game grows...

Keep us informed! 😉

Sure I will 😊

I just wanted to show you how this project started.

1. Witch Table started with my idea to make balance game on Android with portrait orientation. Quickly I realized how wrong I was with my idea 😅

2.  On the movie first, very rough quick sketch (can't call it even prototype).

Next day, next challenges! Every day closer and closer to demo release! For a demo content (first 10 Levels) this is right time to move to playtesting phase before release on game page.

Down there some sneak peak from Level 11 👇Level 11-20 will explore switching perspective mode even more!

Stay tuned for further updates!

The Witch Table demo is officially live!

You can now play the first 10 levels on Web, Android, Windows, Linux and MAC. This is the first officially public version of the game, focused on core mechanics, difficulty progression, and atmosphere.

More updates and improvements are coming soon — and I’m excited to hear your feedback!

Check it out! https://noobsgames.itch.io/witch-table

Rotating a table shouldn’t be this stressful… yet here we are.

In this update, I’m working on Level 12, pushing the difficulty further and refining the precision-based gameplay that defines Witch Table. Every new level is about control, balance, and learning how to stay calm when small mistakes cost everything.

At the same time, the demo is officially live on itch.io.

It includes the first 10 levels and is available on:

Web, Android,Windows, MAC, Linux.

The core idea remains simple: rotate the table, guide the ball into the magical circle.

But mastery? That’s something else entirely.

This demo is the first public version of the game, focused purely on gameplay feel, progression, and atmosphere. Feedback at this stage means a lot and will directly shape upcoming levels — including Level 12 and beyond.

More soon. The table is getting less forgiving.
