Yes! They’re extremely comfortable and well-fed. 🙂
When Peter pitched this week’s story, I asked, “Does it have to be giant spiders? What about giant silkworms, those would be slightly less creepy,” but he pointed out normally silk worms are killed to harvest their silk, and obviously we can’t have that! So giant spiders it is.
Some folk in India do “ethical silk” where they let silkworms mature and fly away from cocoons in trees, and then carefully spin the leftover cocoons!
I don’t know how well that works out for the silkworms in practice, but in either case I think spiders are cute and I think in the fantasy setting it’s way more interesting to get often-demonised giant spiders anyway :3
Ah, so sorry folks! Bit of a mix up here, I was not as on top of things as I wished to believe. 😅
I’ve pushed the correct puzzle and article to itch now. Players on the site might also have been affected if you had an open tab you hadn’t refreshed, but refreshing will fix it. And I will not be pushing any incomplete puzzles that I intend to replace later anymore!
Thanks for reporting!
Very curious that the tapestry was destroyed when Ophelia Steel was guarding it AND when she was detained! Either she has an accomplice who helped her or...
and this is a bit of a weird theory, but maybe its some rogue magic that doesn't want this tapestry to be made? or something like that. being slashed in the same places is a bit suspicious
