This is the same King that tried to give the royal jewels away, right? Seems like a nice guy.

The arcane bursts in the Royal City last year resulted in some random creatures appearing. Is this the same concept, except they're monsters who attack people? In which case, repurposing the arcane energy before they manifest into monsters would be good. (But its suspicious that these monsters are dangerous. Is it a reflection of some insidious citizens?)

There are companies cutting corners to save money even in the Daily Spell lol.

A man with a hat and mustache who's there every night? Suspicious.

I wonder if the ancients are still alive, if the time inside the Escarpment is 12x slower than wherever the Royal City is.
