Good platformer, the music was very good and the art aswell, the background was my favorite part, it was lovely overall!
Thanks for playing !
I think the prerequisite was better implemented than the theme.
But this has potential. :)
What engine and tools did you use? The game looks nice. :=
Hi.
Yes, during my brainstorming, the idea popped up in my head at the begining, and I followed it.
To answer your question, I work in solo, using GameMaker (I only make 2D games). For pixel art, I use Aseprite. For backgrounds and music, I used Pixabay and. CraftPix, as I'm not very skilled in these fields.
Honestly, I’m blown away. Everything from the art style to the mechanics is so well-executed. It’s a blast to play! Great use of the theme and prerequisites as well. Fantastic work!
Thanks for playing !
It was really fun to play this game, especially with the simplistic art style
Thanks for playing !
I love the use of theme and prerequisite, the idea of switching between big and small characters is a great idea. Very well done
Thanks for playing !
Lovely interpretation of the theme and prerequisite, and a solid platformer! Very enjoyable :D The sounds could be equalized in volume a bit more perhaps, and the second level is mostly skippable by taking a running jump from the second slope. The backgrounds are SO BEAUTIFUL I love them, very nicely picked. The little characters are so cute too, overall I'd say I quite enjoyed my time playing this, thanks!
Hello.
For the second level, it was like a trap, because people would try to get the characters at the right position, and then notice they can't.
I mostly used the backgrounds to give some atmosphere to the game and yes, they are so good (they are free, it's in the credits, in case if you need it).
I'm happy you liked it !
Thanks for your feedback.
Good idea!! I woud like to see mooore levels
Thanks for playing !
Yes, some more levels are planned after the jam.
Good job on your submission! :)
Cute little platformer. Needs more coyote frames!
I managed to make the game crash on the first level so I feel good about my gaming skills.
I did finish a couple levels before my skill capacity was at max. :)
Hi.
I thought 2 hang frames + 3 coyote time frames would be enough. I'll fine-tune it better next time.
Can you give more info about how did the game crashed ? It's kinda unexpected (especially on this level).
Thanks for playing !
That's 5 frames, easily lagged past depending on browser. Maybe use 15 frames instead. It also creates a neat way to strategize jumps with air-time.
About the crash: I went back and tried to replicate it, but it didn't crash this time.
What I did: I never swapped character. I went on the lift and jumped into the portal with the little guy. I didn't even realize I could swap at that point. Then I moved into the small obstacle wall with the big guy and the screen just froze. The main factor must be that I never pressed the swap button.
Might've just been a random browser-fluke and nothing to do with game. *shrug*
Good use of theme and prerequisite. Nice levels too!
Thanks for playing !
Thats a good game! Very good music!! cute character!!
Happy you had fun !
