I'm going to disagree with most people here and say that I think the pogo timing isn't too punishing. A visual indicator might be nice, since I'm willing to bet most people are trying to press once they hit the fruit, instead of timing it BEFORE they hit the fruit. But the timing itself feels nice. For me, the most difficult part was the air physics. There isn't anything inherently wrong with the way this game controls, but the lack of air momentum does kind of go against my decades of muscle memory from other platformers. I did eventually get used to it here, but perhaps maintaining your horizontal momentum could reduce some of the game's learning curve.

But other than that suggestion, I think the rest was great! Art and sound are cute and pleasant. The gameplay is engaging and fun, snappy enough respawns that dying doesn't feel too punishing. I enjoyed my time with Pango Pogo, and even took the time to find the secret area with the cool discovery :) I even found a SUPER secret (probably unintended) screen by going through one of the fruit launching holes. I'd post the screenshot but I don't want to spoil the discovery.

Well done, this game rules! :)

Thank you for the detailed feedback! I completely agree about the visual indicator and air physics - a bit more momentum would definitely make the movement feel smoother and more natural. Congratulations on finding the secret area, and I had absolutely no idea about the super secret hahaha. As soon as I read this I had to go check it out for myself! Really glad you enjoyed it, your game is awesome as well.

EDIT: That actually took me so long to get, I can't believe you found that hahaha
