Nice. I wonder if this'll increase the chance for a Twine game on the good ol' Speccy or any sort of old 8-bit computer.

Thanks for sharing this.

There is actually something for the Speccy that is sort-of-a-Twine: https://github.com/cronomantic/ChooseYourDestiny

In fact, I used it for one of my games (a ZX Spectrum adaptation of the 1930 gamebook "Consider the consequences!" https://unapersona-y-otrapersona.itch.io/consider-the-consequences) and there are many more games using it. E.g. https://cperezgrin.itch.io/la-ciudad-a-oscuras-spider-man

that looks cool - thanks for sharing! :D

I just found this tool you could try for the Speccy line as well.

All it really needs is a more complete English translation and we got it.

The problem with that one is that it exports BASINC by default, so text compression is very bad in that one (but it also exports MuCho, another hypertext game creator for the ZX Spectrum, which has text compression and is a much more interest option!)

There are also BASIC compilers out there that might fix the text compression problem (perhaps Boriel Basic?). Not too sure about it, you get the idea.
