I don't want to believe a pixie could ever have bad vibes, I'm choosing to believe this minotaur was being a meanie face instead and that hikers could be more mindful.

yes, in this case the minotaur represents an interventionist approach to nature. my preference would be to leave the pixies alone and wait until the giant spiders appear. then the ecosystem would regulate itself

though in that scenario hikers would probably need to start taking another route altogether
