yeaaaa i couldn't figure out how to fix the lag (i don't notice it but others have def reported it). i refactored to moving the whole row object rather than moving individual objects off screen but even that didn't fix the issue 🤔 I'm still puzzling over how something like that could be optimized.

and i agree, def wish there were sound adjustment sliders in the menu, but sound design has always been one of those afterthought bits of a jam for me oop

Level 18 is so wicked of you I usually struggle somewhere around level 12 unless I cheat with my debug statements LOL! you're a trooper for making it that far!

thanks for the lovely and detailed comment,  super nice to know where all the pain points are so i can get better at polish in a game! you gave me the idea of maybe delaying the level start with a cute animation of the objects populating or something at the level begin, but i think that'll need coroutines which i haven't been willing to learn about yet 😅

(+1)

Yeah, I wouldn't know how either! My thought was exactly what you did, or like, making it an image, but that has its own downsides, and is kinda tedious or scary

Also yeah, same with me about sound lol, I wanted to make adjustment sliders too, but I didn't want to think about it, so I just made it really low and added mute buttons to compensate

Honestly I felt the pain much earlier but I was stubborn and wanted to finish it lmaoo, 18 was my "okay I've started to randomly click for a while, I should probably stop" I think it was around level 13-14 that I started to try the "Click and hope" method. Only worked twice tho

Also np! I always end up yapping so I'm glad you liked it!

Also yeah, coroutines scared me for the longest time, but it was simpler than I expected, just feels scary whenever people talk about it for some reason. It's basically just a regular method, but you use IEnumerator instead of void, and every loop in there is scary cus they can freeze the editor, and you always gotta remember to add a pause in coroutine loops.

(I add a "stop" variable that counts up every loop and breaks out of it after a set number to avoid this lol, but adding a pause is important cus if you don't nothing else has time to run T_T at least thats the reasoning I found while searching)

But yeah it's more or less just a regular method except you need to add pauses (cus without pauses it's just regular method) and be very mindful about infinite loops, and making sure theres a pause in the loop itself, so it doesn't brick the editor >_<
This is just what I found and experienced tho, hopefully it's not too off and no experienced programmer will smite me /silly
