The Cafe Dot Jam is a special event where members of the Cafe Dot community can create a game in a set amount of time. Creators are able to improve their skills, do something creative and meet other passionate people, all while making something cool. At the end, we will stream and review the games on our official Cafe Dot Twitch account.
You can make your game about anything you like, not just Cafe Dot related! The day before the Jam starts, we will announce the Theme, which you can use as a prompt to give you some inspiration for your game. It's not necessary, but helpful for people who might not have any ideas!

Join the Discord server Discord.gg/CafeDot to find a team or discuss the event!
- Find a team using the Discord channels, or go solo!
- Come up with a team name
- Get developing!
- Submit a game to itch.io and link your game in the server game jam thread!
- Watch us play your game live!
- Whichever game receives the highest score within the voting period will win the Community Prize!
- Admins will also vote on their personal favorite- yes, that means two winners!
- No premade assets or AI generated assets to be used whatsoever. This is an exercise to make something creative for yourself.
- We suggest having the ability to play the game in-browser, as you'll get more people to play your game if you do so!
- No teams of more than 5 people.
- You are allowed to join more than one team if both teams agree to it.
- Solo developers are allowed.
- Late joiners are allowed.
- Games can be submitted any time earlier than the deadline.
- Mods are allowed to join, but have no input on the admin voting.
Jam Start: Friday 16th January
Jam End: Sunday 1st February
Vote counting period: Sunday 1st February - Sunday 8th February
There will be two winners: one popular vote, and one admin vote.
Results will be revealed when the voting process is over, and will be announced in the server for everyone. The winning games will get pinned in the server for 1 week, and will receive a shoutout on our socials.
Game submissions will be streamed on the Cafe Dot Twitch during the voting period and will be saved as VODs.
