I remember those stars too! Funny thing is I had my father remove them shortly after having them installed because they made me anxious and I could not sleep well with them :-/
The bulk of the code was written during the two weekends of the jam, however I would say close to 70% of what I did during the first one was thrown out/not used since I originally just wanted to generate beds but struggled to actually put something that looks interesting enough to me. The whole bedroom thing was a (very)last minute change of direction...
