Thank you very much for your comment. In principle, there are no draughts before level 8. If you get stuck on this level, you can use the level selector to try the others (as there are still lots of game mechanics to discover).
As for the physics, I definitely had a delta-time issue that I will fix after the jam, which would explain why not everyone has the same experience with the game's physics. Someone solved this by setting their screen to 60hz instead of 144hz.
