I maxed out everything and made it to the bottom!

  • Loved the 3D low poly models!
  • Loved the ambient music
  • Great sfx for plastic, metal and robot moving (I assume the wood sfx missing is a bug)
  • Screen space shader really sells the underwater feel!
  • Effects on audio really helps the immersion!

I couldn't quite understand some things

  • Does depth have any effect on anything?
  • When reaching the max for upgrades the button grays out but there is nothing else to suggest I maxed out
  • Depth light does not seem to have much of a difference when going to the bottom.

Other than that I had fun overall very nice looking game!

Does depth have any effect on anything?

Gameplay-wise, unfortunately not :( There were plans like spawn probabilities, checkpoints, depth upgrades, and potentially a “goal” at the max depth. We focused too much on the game feel and not enough on the game loop. Lesson learnt!

Thank you for your feedback and we’re very happy you had fun! :)

Glad you liked the variety of SFXs for recycling. They were all recorded at home with foley, with 4-5 variations of each sound, and then some Pitch and Volume Randomizer in FMOD :) the wood one was the last one we added and was not tested properly. It might be too low and the post EQ that filters the sounds too much :( Thanks for your review, glad you liked the overall experience!
