Game Description
You're an artistic kobold with a passion for making beautiful(??) junk sculptures out of the things others have left behind! Spring from wall to wall and collect everyday treasures for your biggest piece yet.

How does your game tie into the theme?
As you collect treasures (trash) to add to your art project, you'll have the opportunity to assemble them however you like. And if you've got a big heart, you might just find something else to lend new purpose to...

Love the aesthetic and setting of this game! Kobold character is super cute and I loved their animations. I am not sure if it was my browser but I was not able to pick up any item. Every item on pickup would just fall through the floor and when I threw the item I would see the Kobold do a throw animation but nothing would happen.
I like the platforming and stamina system. Overall a great submission! Congrats!

game looks great and runs well on web build. I really like smooth animations of your character.

Not sure about gameplay I did tried to understand goal but I couldn't really catch it :(

SFX and music is well made

Congratulations on your submission!

i can't really comment on the game's main mechanic because for some reason whenever i would click to pick stuff up it would just fall below the floor, but the aesthetic is really cute and the platforming mechanics while rough are still pretty interesting. good job on the entry!

This game is so adorable!! The writing, the sound effects, and the music are perfection.

I played in browser on a mac, and maybe it's just me but for some reason Id click on an object to pick it up and it'd just sink down through the map? It was so strange! I tried to reload and re-play again, but the same thing happened. I was able to add the trash can to the pedestal as part of my sculpture though.

Not sure what's going on exactly, maybe it's just on my end / my configuration that's causing it? Anyways, this game is so cute and really fun! I liked it and had fun even though I wasn't able to make much of a sculpture

Ahh, thank you for the kind words!! I just played your game last night and am super hyped to leave a review, it's so good! xD And thank you very much for letting me know about that bug, that is odd! There must be something I overlooked about the rigidbodies that's behaving differently in your case... hmm... I'll be looking into it for sure!

Thanks again and have a good one!

The ambience of the game is really good, and the music it's amazing! the jokes were funny too, only issue i had was the wall grab mechanic wouldn't be enough to reach certain places (but that might just be my skill issue) and the grab wall would trigger by accident when falling off certain spots. But the game was real fun!

Developer

Thank you so much!! That kind of feedback is just what I need. Looking forward to fixing some of those things in the future!

Interesting ideas but I think it needs some more polish, I had overlapping UI elements and the controls are a bit janky. Still impressive what you did with the engine!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! You're totally right, the UI definitely clutters things up in quite a few places xD Thanks so much for playing regardless!!

The art style in this game is everything I hope to achieve in my own projects at some point, absolutely spectacular work.
The idea of taking items and arranging them into a sculpture also initially crossed my mind when I was thinking of ideas at the start of the jam but I wrote it off as too difficult, so massive props for bringing that to fruition as well.
Love your work!

Ahh... my heart...!! Thank you so much! A toon shader, tinted fog, and a nice color palette did more than I could have imagined. It's such a gift to live in a time with so many incredible resources that make stuff like this possible for non-experts!

I'm so new at all this but if you have any questions at all it's always a privelige to help spread some of the awesome stuff Godot can do xD Thanks again!

Really creative jump mechanic. Loved the art, animations, and effort sounds. Cutest Kobold ever! Gave me a good cozy game vibe. I thought the little item descriptors were great.

Sadly, I could barely play this gam. The mouse pointer thing was REALLY annoying. I tried what you recommended, but the itch fullscreen didn't help, and I didn't see a fullscreen option in your settings menu. Setting the mouse mode to captured would have solved this problem., just as an FYI.

Really nice idea and I'd love to see a fuller version of the game with the bugs worked out. I really wanted to build sculptures!

Developer(+1)

Aww hey, thank you so much!! I'm really honored that you took the time to try to enjoy the game even with the challenges with the controls! Were you able to physically click on the "Keep Playing" button in the pause menu? Since I wanted to "free" the cursor while on that menu, clicking the resume button in particular should recapture the mouse whether you're in fullscreen or windowed mode. :) It definitely needs a better solution so I'll be updating this game for sure post-jam!

I sure appreciate the kind words and thanks again!

Oh I didn't think to try that. If I get a chance, I'll give it another go.

I've only known this kobold for a minute and a half but if anything happened to them I would cry.

Cool character, and the wall cling + jump mechanic is very good. I would love to explore a large world with just this feature! Great submission

Wow really cool art, loved the wall grabbing mechanic, it was fun! Great work! I also had the issue with the mouse, but it´s not too bad

Developer

Aww thank you!! A nifty trick to fix that for now is up on the main game page :D Really appreciate it!

Very cool intro, am taking notes!

Very pleasing art style.

I had the issue that my mouse wasn't captured so my cam rotation was limited to the window borders unfortunately.

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for the kind words!! I found a pretty straightforward trick to get the mouse captured for the fullscreen web version, it's right under "Bugs" on the game's main page now! I should probably make that a little more obvious for future players until I can fix it properly xD

Appreciate it and have a great post-jam week!

Nice, I'm gonna replay it for sure!

Love the theme, when I played for a first time, I got flunged from the map. xD
Nice one!

Developer(+1)

Aww dang!! xD Sorry to hear that, sure happy you enjoyed despite the less-than-bug-proof experience!

Thanks for playing!
