a pretty good pinball game!!

  • pretty good visuals, clear enough to read and enjoyable!
  • music is top notch, and audio is pretty good as well!
  • gameplay-wise, it’s a solid pinball game with interesting mechanics/upgrades (I wonder if there is a real pinball game with advanced upgrades like this)
  • the only bugs I had is that if the game lags (which can happen when running in a browser, probably less in the OS), the ball can warp through some objects (has happened with bumpers and especially flips’s narrow part), that probably can be fixed with some adjustments in the physics engine

great job!!

Thank you for playing and thanks for the feedback! Really solid time too, well played!

As far as I’m aware there’s not a real table with a similar setup, but I’m fairly sure it could be done? Might be too much of a deviation from the traditional model for anyone to make one physically, virtual pins are probably the only way it would happen but would love to hear from anyone who knows more if that’s correct..

And yeah, the physics is currently set to a very high calculation rate so any lags can cause issues, but indeed this is a web-only issue as far as I’m aware. Lowering the quality settings usually addresses it as it’s most often the graphics/rendering that’s causing lag, but I’ll probably add a physics configuration in the settings menu at some point for extra control.

And I’m so glad to hear you liked the other parts of the game, a massive than you again for the kind words!

not sure which engine you used, but I think there is a “continuous” vs “step by step” for high-velocity projectiles - like you’d normally use this for fast-moving bullets so they don’t go past targets, but when your game lag, the engine will simulate a time long enough that the ball might be considered as a fast-moving object and warp into bad place, so maybe it can fixes it? the thing is it’s quite the rare bug so it’s hard to check if that’s fixed or not haha plus it seems to be only a web issue (tho maybe low-end PC might probably experience it as well) that’s definitely not that bad hehe

if there is a physics-related settings it could also do the trick too

anyway thanks again for that incredible demo!!
