Combo ships have their own section in the data cloud yes, its labeled "combo" even. The game doesn't call them out specifically when seen, but you can often recognize them by their tendency to use mechanics from both conbo factions.
That is weird, because I already have unlocked at least 3 of them, but there is no combo section in the data cloud. Seems like a bug to me. In which area of the data cloud should the combo section show up?
