(Thanks to the player before me -- because of your guys conversation above I got to finish this game!)

There is so much things I like about this game so I am gonna go one by one.

This game has such a good aesthetics. When I say aesthetics, I don't just mean visual, but the combination of design/mechanics, visual (environmental, UI, special effects), and sound. All builds a slightly apocalyptic, philosophical, and contemplative environment. They all echo with each others to strengthen the core idea of the game.

I really like your groups' take of the idea. The cover image strengthen the game's connection with the theme. Further more, I like your mentioning of nihilism there. I am not super familiar with it (I actually have to google just now), but if I am understanding correctly, it has a lot to do with the belief that life is meaningless. And you mentioning of cannot prove what is real outside of oneself gives me a suggestion of solipsism. -- which, both are very interesting as a context of the game. It does make me question who am I, both my role as a player in a digital world and my role in the game.  It really feels like a game discussing what is real and what is not when I am watching a 3D environment from a 2D UI, which usually is the inverse because I am currently in a 3D world looking at a 2D screen.

Back to the game. My favorite mechanics is probably the simple puzzles (selection of image what is real, pick out the words, and trolley problem). All of them emphasize the theme of the game, and really well prepared for the last conversation I had with the humanoid in the screen. The notes and stories of all the crew members also comes back to asks the question again what is human and what is real here. The last bit to ask me physically finding a phone and scan the code was also insane. It really blew my mind, and made the game on screen bleed into real life.

More on the actual game, I do really appreciate you having the option to turn the screen shake off because I have motion sickness. But a slight bug, even when I turned it off, it do not work after I switch camera. When I turn the option on and off, the camera shakes again. Otherwise, there is no other complains I have.

Thanks for this amazing game! You guys should be proud of yourself.

Thank you so much for your comment! WOW!!!!Seriously, as a developer, there’s no better feeling than waking up to see someone not only playing my creation but sharing such a thoughtful review. I’m honestly moved to tears—thank you, thank you, and thank you x3000!<3

truly means a lot to us that the way we chose to express the idea resonated with you. Exploring existentialism and nihilism through interaction across the screen was a bit of a risky move for us. With a very simple flow and a tight production schedule, it often felt like there wasn’t much room to carry big ideas. That’s why seeing you mention solipsism was especially encouraging.

In fact, it was one of the core ideas behind the narrative: we’ve always felt that playing most games can resemble a kind of “player-centric solipsism,” and this project was our attempt to show what a non player-centric perspective might feel like.

We’re also deeply grateful that you took the time to scan the QR code—that was another unconventional experiment on our part. We really hope you enjoyed that section.

Lastly, the issue with the screen-shake button not working has already been passed on to the programmer in charge. Thank you very much for the report!

Once again, heartfelt thanks for playing.

No worries! Probably as a personal preference, I really like games that has a complete core and that I can see player intention. That was why I make games, and that was why I like to play games. And as a developer, I found unfortunately a lot of times intentions and core idea was not the player usually see...so I am trying to leave feedbacks for games that I see are doing that, and games I personally likes. Call that as, I am exercising my rights as a player to influence the market lol

I honestly might be a biased player as I am personally familiar with existentialism, which by adjacent is also near nihilism and solipsism. These are complicated and tricky ideas to introduce to a game, not gonna lie, and I really believe you guys did a fascinating job on understanding the core of such idea, and introduce them into your work.

Even more biased, I also like playing with the idea of making player not the center of the game. Seeing a game that also breaks such expectation was quiet thrilling for me.

Thanks for showing us your work.
