Just started the Anthony route and I… I don’t hate it? Could we have a genuine contender to pookie Issac? SPOILERvvvv

Why is he so compassionate and considerate I can’t hate him. And he’s a doggo and every doggo deserves pats so even better! I don’t really like muscular MEN but size doesn’t matter— what’s on the inside counts more.

Also I’m so scared rn because why is Sebastian and pookie Issac here now? I can’t believe I went against my gut instinct and agreed to rest again >:{

Welcome back ^^ oh ıts nice to ser that another Love interest caught your eye! (Well ıts not thay Isaac is bad but thanks for giving chance to others! ) as for the rest; spoilers!

Yes Anthony is built different from other LIs (Love interests) he is the emphaty related character afterall (isaac is power and simon is logic related). Tho raised in big family he is generally a good boy to mother nature either and always listen to it. Though that doesnt mean he is the perfect gem Anthony has his own flaws in his route even tho he is trying to be Understanding to main character. I hope you will still find him a good boy despite his flaws ^^

The reason isaac and nathainel were in part of Anthony route is sadly there is a undone job mc has to resolve that includes isaac too so anthony's route wont stray too far from important events but will also give you interesting perspectives ;)

Edit: oh jonas (spirits name) is implying that there is a undone task you need to finish and yes ıts related to isaac bıt ıts also kind of related to some other people too unfortunalety you should go for your main quest to ser what will it be about! and While jonas is very pretty he is also male ^^

Once a good boi, always a good boi. Honestly, I still don’t fully trust Anthony because I died to him by messing around like twice (or once. Im not sure if the person who kills the player in chapter five when they explore the basement is Anthony) but so far he seems chill. Issac still takes the top spot unless he does something mean to the player in future chapters.

Simon experiments on you because he has no other options to advance treatment, meanwhile Isaac abuses you (and cannibalizes you when you fail the dinner) just because he can. 😭

ALSO I’m an Issac apologist so lemme excuse him really quickly. First of all, EVERYONE kills us when we fail their respective survival games .Also we get to bite HIM so I find that a fair trade. Also, as explained in game, each character has urges that they struggle controlling, so during the dinner, Issac’s not in full control of himself.

Also, we’re technically not his ONLY option. He could experiment further on the carriers as well. But I guess I can’t debate that since we’re the only “normal” non-infected around.

I personally dislike Simon quite a bit more because of the MC’s personal trauma. They had gone through horrible experiments in the past, so I feel like they wouldn’t like a character that EXPERIMENTS ON THEM without consent.

I also feel like Simon isn’t considerate of the MC and their situation unlike Anthony and Issac (to an extent). We all know that Anthony is a really caring individual with strong empathy, but even Issac shows some amount of care and consideration for us (He cares more than hes considerate, but even a little bit counts). Now, Simon could be more caring in future chapters, but RN, he’s the character that seems to care the least for the MC. Im not really counting Sebastian b/c he’s not one of the romantic interests, but he takes care of the MC and only uses force when he has to. I don’t care about Sebastian though, so honestly, my defense for him is somewhat weak.

I have no idea why I keep calling Nathaniel Sebastian but alls well that ends well. Remember that you’re entitled to your own opinion about the characters, as am I. TBH, I don’t even dislike Simon THAT much. He just is my least favorite

I do know that all LIs are toxic to some extent with MC since they are monsters after all.

HOWEVER Simon seems much less toxic to me than Isaac. Because if you exclude the experiment mini-event, of course, we do have some free will and freedom of choice in his route, compared to Isaac where you're held captive in the castle against your wishes and treated badly every time you express your wish to leave or to be treated like a human being. Simon is also much more nicer to MC and not prone to unpredictable mood swings.

I do agree that drugging and experimenting on MC without prior consent makes him a dangerous and untrustworthy person and I don't condone what he did at all, just to be clear. I even picked all the power oriented choices because the whole ordeal made me feel uneasy and upset. However I do understand his motivations for treating MC like so, unlike Isaac who's just...toxic for the sake of it, without a real purpose for it. (Also, experimenting on carriers would be pointless since they do not carry the Resilere Allele, the gene the Institute's been trying to replicate for centuries.)

Hence why I was surprised to see Simon ranked last in your post. I wasnt trying to convince you nor implying that you were wrong since this is not "you're right/wrong" situation. I don't dislike Isaac either, let's just say that I'm not as emotionally invested in his route as I am with Simon.

I'm also a fan of body horror and a science nerd who works in the medical field so picking Simon over Isaac is a given. xD

Agreed. Maybe if I had gotten Simon’s route first, I would be more of a fan of him. About the power options part, I avoid those b/c I would like to optimize empathy and logic ^^

To be honest, I think we need to see more of these two first. (also I uhm… in my play through, I never really wanted to be treated humanely nor did express a wish to leave so I probably got the better experience)

I STILL need to defend Pookie Issac though even though I mostly agree with you. Issac doesnt really do the abusing, it’s Nathaniel (Sebastian) doing most of the mistreatment. And, this is a horrible argument tbh, but we could be treated a LOT worse by Issac. I’m pretty sure that he doesn’t only take care of the MC because it’s his duty, but because he NEEDS us for some reason. If that’s all, we just be locked up in a room while occasionally being fed blood. Issac is a bit benevolent in letting us explore and wander about.

Also, can you give some examples of Issac mistreating the MC besides the dinner? It’s not that I don’t believe you, but I literally never triggered him, so when you mention his mistreatment, I have no idea what you’re talking about and I can’t argue against something if I don’t know what happened😭😭😭
